Meant to Be:
Do Things Really Happen for a Reason?

Difficult times, including health, financial, or other crises, can be times of profound personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Becoming mindful and creatively tending to circumstances and situations that seem “meant to be” often reveals new insights and opportunities. We will discuss several types of experiences that people believe have been “meant to be,” including ‘thin places,’ synchronicity, intuition, and soul friendships. Reflective exercises and sharing sacred stories will enable participants to identify their own “meant to be experiences”. Week two will include a discussion about how to make sense of these experiences, including how to discern the presence of the Divine within them.

PRESENTER: Mary Treacy O’Keefe has an MA in theology/spirituality and is certified as a spiritual director. As a result of her own experience as a breast cancer survivor, Mary co-founded and is president of Well Within. She is the author of Thin Places: Where Faith is Affirmed and Hope Dwells and is currently completing her second book, Meant to Be: Do Things Really Happen for a Reason?
