St. Brigid's Day

"A Habit of the Wildest Bounty"

St. Brigid had “a habit of the wildest bounty,” a phrase that captures her extravagant penchant for generosity. Come celebrate the Feast of St. Brigid with artist and writer Jan L. Richardson and stretch into some new terrain for your soul.
The evening will have options for creative engagement using simple, easily accessible techniques for art, writing and creating. Jan seeks to evoke the kind of space that the ancient Celtic people described as a "thin place." In the physical landscape and in the turning of seasons, there are places where the veil between worlds seems especially thin: a meeting of heaven and earth.

PRESENTER: Jan Richardson serves as director of The Wellspring Studio, a ministry that incorporates her vocation as an artist, writer, and ordained minister in the United Methodist Church. Jan travels widely as a retreat and workshop leader. She is a faculty member of the Grünewald Guild in Washington State and an oblate of St. Brigid of Kildare Monastery in Collegeville, MN. Jan’s books include: Sacred Journeys, Night Visions, and In Wisdom’s Path. Visit her online at www.janrichardson.com and www.paintedprayerbook.com.

Garrison Doles
, singer and songwriter, will join Jan for this evening's gathering. Garrison's music blends heart and faith into melodies that stir the soul. His songs are both inspiring and filled with the message of God’s love and grace. He combines his gifts of song and story with a humility that speaks to the soul. Visit his website to learn more about him and listen to his music.
